Cycle based on the Middle Eastern folk tales "One Thousand and One Nights" starting with one series of paintings each about Prince Aladdin, Prince Ahmed and Prince Zayn Al-Asnam.
For the last two series, I used Formica boards as material for the first time. The special effect here: the luminosity of the oil colours is almost as high as in the glass or acrylic works. All paintings havetwo 5 cm-strong wooden strips on their back . When hanging, this creates a distance between the wall and the painting and looks like "floating" just before the wall.
